Mrs. Morgan goes to Washington

Us at Halloween – Rosie Riveter and Al Borland

That was my original title of this post – my sister has been bugging me to blog about it but I guess, for all the fun it was, there wasn’t anything super significant that stood out about the trip that I feel is worthy of a blog post. I got to see some cool things including the Smithsonian and the Lincoln Memorial. I got to walk A LOT and spend time with Rhea. But other than that, there doesn’t seem to be much to report. Instead, I’ll catch you up on the basics goings on in the Morgan house.

School has been going well though it’s a different challenge. I think this year, I’m a lot more comfortable with my content and my identity as a teacher which makes it easier to see the kids that I’m having a hard time reaching a growing. I still don’t have a lot of answers but I feel like I’m a lot less focused on myself and “getting by” which brings my students’ problems into sharper relief.

Josh took the last part of the CPA this weekend for this round. Unfortunately, he didn’t pass Audit so he’ll have to retake that in the spring but if he passes FAR we may finally be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Many of our friends and family are going through a lot life changes at the moment – new houses, new babies, new dogs, etc. but I don’t think we feel left out. Mostly I feel kind of relieved that I don’t have any major life decisions to figure out right now.

With the holidays coming, I know we’ll get busy and I probably won’t be able to post much (like I do so regularly now, ha!) but I’m excited for time with family and friends.
