I don’t usually make a list of things that I am thankful for at Thanksgiving, but this year I felt like it was important to put a list on paper. After spending some time yesterday listing out some of the things that I am thankful for, I decided to share them here.
I am Thankful for:
- God’s sovereignty in difficult circumstances.
- The love and encouragement that Jess gives me.
- The ability to work.
- The amazing community of believers that God has made me a part of.
- The ways that God is working in my life to show Himself to me.
- The wonderful family that God has given me.
We cannot just be thankful for things, we must be thankful to someone. I am thankful to God for all of these things and for many more. Most of all I am thankful to Him for the person and work of Jesus, who has made me a new creation, and in whom I have life; true and abundant life.
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. – 1 Thessalonians 5:18
